The Hawks celebrated the 6th Annual HBCU Night Friday at State Farm Arena. The evening kicked off with a Pregame fireside chat featuring Klutch Sports, Rich Paul. Paul dropped gems to a room full of students and supporters from HBCUs. The fireside chat was moderated by Brigitte Killings, Manager Director of Community Banking and Business Development for the South.

Afterwards, students in the audience were invited to ask questions before heading over to the game, where the Atlanta Hawks took on the Toronto Raptors.

Hawks coach Quin Snyder was ejected from the game in the second quarter for storming on the court after Young looked to have injured his right thigh. With a quick hop on one leg,Young went to the ground for a minute, but was able to stay in the game. In addition to Snyder's double-technical, Young and Hunter also received first-half technical fouls.

Snyder himself said " I probably deserved that technical foul"; expressing his concern for Trae's knee.

Dejounte Murray led the Hawks with 24 points, De'Andre Hunter added 22 points. All Star- Trae Young was held to 11 points on 4-13 shooting. He had 7 assists. With only 18 seconds remaining the Hawks picked up the pace, but would ultimately fall 121-118, when Murray stepped out of bounds from a hand off from Bogdan Bognovic.
