Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving Pays Tuition for Nine Students at Lincoln University

December 31, 2020

Brooklyn Nets guard, Kyrie Irving put his philanthropy to work and for a good cause. We all know him as a NBA star. Irving said he wanted to be judged on his actions "on and off the court" this year and he did just that. Irving paid off the college tuition of nine students at Lincoln University, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and his twitter account. His kind gesture was part of his foundation, which celebrates 11 days of giving each December. Of those 11 days, Kyrie decided he would donate to Lincoln. Lincoln University (PA), established in 1854, has been a public institution since 1972, and was the first degree granting HBCU. It is unknown the amount he spent to pay off tuition for those students, but it definitely goes down as a great deed to end 2020! Earlier this year Irving also donated to other charities at the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
